A new Des Moines Register poll is great news for Iowa Senator Charles Grassley, as well as GOP gubernatorial hopefuls Terry Branstad and Bob Vander Plaats. It is very bad news for Iowa's current Governor.

And all this is happening without winning in NY-23.

How can that be?

Current democratic Iowa governor Chet Culver trails Terry Branstad 57-33.

Wow.

I'll believe it when I see it. There's an outfit called "Acorn."

The article actually uses the word “demolished.” For once I agree!

Yes, and now that we know about them ahead of time it’s our fault if we let them steal an election.

Didn’t it seem like fraud was less a story in these last elections? I heard Christie had lawyers at every polling station in NJ...good move.

Now what is the prospect of reversing homosexual marriage?

Poor Chester!
Bloated, inefficient government is catching up with him. And the film office fiasco isn't helping.

Tea-Party folk will be out in numbers 10-1 over the Acorn rats. And the Acorns won’t have the walkin around money they had last time.

If a pubbie—albeit a RINO—can win in NJ it can happen in Iowa, too. Corzine spent extravagantly. This included buying most of the black clergy which is in bed with the ACORN crowd. But he lost. The election was much closer than it should have been, but enough indies are feeling the affects of rising unemployment and the total failure of Corzine to do anything about state spending. His only answer was higher taxes and fees. Businesses and people are fleeing NJ in droves. These are entities and people who actually produce revenue and pay taxes. It won’t be long before the entitlement crowd outnumbers the producers.

We may have not lost NY-23. We have closed to within 2,000 votes and they are still counting absentee ballots.

And how many absentee ballots do you think will go to Hoffy and how many to Scozza?

I can't believe Iowa ever elected Chet Culver. His father, John, was an ultra-left senator decades ago (roomed with Ted Kennedy at Hahvahd). And from the look (and sound) of it, his worthless son is every bit the trough-feeder his dad was.

Iowa needs to wake up and un-elect him, then set its sights on Tom Harkin.

“Current democratic Iowa governor Chet Culver trails Terry Branstad 57-33.”

That is pretty amazing. I am hopeful, but I wonder if this will motivate the ‘Rats to cram as much as they can while they still have the votes in Congress.

Weird...
Why in God’s name would a place like Iowa have a scumbag Democrat in ANY statewide-elected office? You don’t think of Iowa as a place with lots of uneducated parasites and goofballs.

Not a clue but I do know that it is a story worth watching. For entertainment value if nothing else. Esp if Pelosi has to un-swear in her guy.

RATs game plan is massive voter fraud either before, during, or after the election when the votes are counted. They dig up the dead and stuff the ballots or register 72 to one house; 42 to vacant lots.

Therein lies the problem. The key is getting the state legislatures to put forth a constitutional amendment, but it’s much tougher in Iowa than most places.

Vander Plaats is pandering and claiming he will issue an executive order placing a stay on the gay marriage ruling, on his first day in office. The Governor does not have the power to do that. It must be done through the state house & senate, but it will not be easy.
