BTW Theodore Roosevelt had only been Governor of NY for two years and VPOTUS for less than a year when he became president.
It almost sounds as if you're intimating that Palin was just as experience as Teddy before he rose to the Presidency. Which of course, would be a ridiculous assertion.
While Roosevelt didn't have a lot of elected-government experience, his other experiential qualifications were rivaled by only a few of his peers. Teddy was an incredibly well-traveled man who had an almost unparalleled grasp on world affairs of any of his contemporaries. He was a true man of letters and a well-regarded historian, even by his political foes.
And of course, Teddy's war experience including receiving the Medal of Honor as well as his executive experience as Secretary of the Navy, made him uniquely qualified on matters of national security, which was becoming more important as America was beginning to emerge as a world leader.
In short, Teddy Roosevelt was one of the most prepared and ready Presidents the country has ever produced.
You’re right. Teddy had been Governor, as has Sarah, and he was a pretty good president.
