Charlie Crist's Mojo Fading (Scott Rothstein connection & murder)

Charlie Crist has always courted national media attention and lately -- for better or worse -- he's getting it in spades.

There was the Wall Street Journal piece on disgraced lawyer/fundraiser Scott Rothstein, featuring a front-page image of Crist with Rothstein, inscribed, "Scott -- you are amazing! -- Charlie Crist."

Charlie's "wife" was pretty connected to Rothstein's crowd. The Rothstein story gets seedier by the day and a murder may also be involved. About a year ago, an attorney for Rothstein was murdered. Rothstein's right hand person was Debra Villegas. She ran the firm even though insiders said she had not clue. Her husband murdered a young female attorney at the firm. People are saying the husband may have been framed and the attorney was murdered because she uncovered the fraud.

I wouldn’t hold that against him. I don’t think Charlie was referring to his financial shenanigans — he was talking about their time together in the sack.

LOL! The story keeps getting worse. Crist could just say Rothstein contributed money and Crist thought he was okay etc etc. At best - it shows very poor judgement on Crist’s part. Crist is an attorney and Rothstein’s “firm” was a joke. Rothstein was an intellectual lightweight who discovered alchemy? Crist is really stupid for falling in with this crowd.

Bad judgment runs uphill: John Cornyn doesn’t look good on this, either. I think there’s a whole lot of looking the other way in the Senate backroom.
