Virginia Muslims are calling on McDonnell (R) to disavow comments made by the Virginia Beach religious broadcaster last week in response to the shootings at Fort Hood, Tex., in which Robertson asserted that Islam is "not a religion" but a "violent political system" and that those who practice it should be treated like members of a communist or fascist party.

I think we all know the answer to that. So why is McDonnell in a "bind"?
I’m not a fan of the TROP, but... shut up Pat!
I’m not a fan of TROP, but... shut up Pat!
Because the Washington Post still is bearing a grudge that they could not do to McDonnell, what they did to George Allen.
McD should just ignore them as the irrelevant twits they are.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find only things evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelogus
What is with this new paradigm of insisting that people apologize for someone else’s words? McDonnell should tell them to pound sand - preferably in some Arabic country.
Because the WaPo says so.

Why should he shut up, and why does a politician have to answer for what a private person says?
Why doesn’t Hussein Obama disavow his comments that the army terrorist might have been too stressed out? Where is the left wing on that?? others can play that game.
Or why doesn’t the virginia muslims disavow all their violence throughout Islam’s history, and disavow marriage to little girls at 9 years old like mr. Muhammed, and how Saudi Arabia still promotes it?
d) Barry Obama... he is delivering America to a caliphate.
This is a trap. He has no reason or responsibility to disavow. The remarks were made by a private sitizen and not in any official capacity.
If some people feel that the murderous cult of Islam is a
religion, they should include MS13, the Manson Family,
La Raza and Planned Parenthood as religions also.
Notice how they tried to spin “moral equivalency” in the article:
“Like President Obama, who formally denounced remarks by his former minister Jeremiah Wright, McDonnell will probably face continued questions about Robertson’s stands through his four-year term,. . . .”
Of course they didn’t mention anything about the hatred that Wright preached, that the traditional news media failed to address that issue and that Vain Hussein didn’t denounce him until pressure from non-traditional media increased.
The sycophantic pressholes are attempting a retroactive “Macacca Moment” on McDonnell.
He should stand his ground. Most of the public already thinks the Fort Hood massacre was an example of Muslim terrorism.
Islam is a cult, not a religion.
The Post is STILL trying to sandbag McDonnell? Give it up boys, the election’s over.
I was wondering why they think the McDonnell should apologise for Robertson, but then this is the group from whence Hussein came, who runs around apologising for America, when most Americans have nothing for which to be apologetic, in the political sense. Unless the 54% who voted for Hussein are ready to apologise for their stupidity.
Of course we know it’s not really about the apology, it’s about giving some “victim” group the high ground for no discernible reason.
