The protocol has been the same since the founding of the American republic. Every child educated in the United States should have been taught about it. NO AMERICAN BOWS TO ROYALTY OR NOBILITY OF ANY NATION. The reason is very simple: After gaining our independence from the British monarchy in 1776, we continue to show the world that we are a free people, not subservient to any monarch or noble anywhere!

My mother taught me as a little girl that we do not have to rise or curtsy for the Queen, and she’d always have something to say about movie stars or other Americans who would kowtow in some way.
Obama is doing these things to wear the American people down. It’s a game with him. I do agree he is probably the most low class, humilating and moranic POTUS we have ever had.
