A. weakened America

Uh ya think? I'll try to frame this in a foreign policy mindset as much as possible because that's what I pay attention too the most given what I do and who I work with.

Our enemies see weakness emanating from DC. They now think that if they push us hard enough, the political will to see whatever mission through to the end no longer exists.

The first months of the administration were very muddled and confused in message, thereby encouraging the enemy and emboldening them. Absolutely NO ONE that has ever been over in the AOR believes that these terrorists can be brought to the negotiating table and/or any deal that can be brokered be worth the paper is it written on.

This administration has given some legitimacy to the Taliban and by extension, to AQ. This is completely unacceptable and at some point this will come back to bite us in the arse.

C. attacked Israel

While he'll never physically attack Israel, this President absolutely cannot stomach more foreign policy problems. Therefore, he will hang Israel out to dry as much as he can possibly get away with.

While I doubt he'll ever fully remove support from Israel, the recent decade worth of openness between the US and Israel is completely at an end.

More importantly I'm certain as I can be that Israel is aware of how "naked" they now are and won't be very accepting to criticism from DC as they MIGHT have been less than 2 years ago now.

All in all, I tend to try not to deal in absolutes when it comes to political figures, mainly because some (or most) of what they do might not matter a damn bit. But Obama seems to actually believe in what he does, which is the most dangerous kind of politician from the left. He's now got the bully pulpit and he will use it as much as he can. As we've seen from his past actions, he'll seek to compromise with our enemies and he'll hang our very allies out to dry.

Kinda rambling I know, but I typed this with a two year old trying to help me type :-)
