I don’t agree. It won’t help and it is not going to happen.

I was divorced once and I paid my own attorney. The taxpayers didn’t pay for it.

Do you think it is a good idea if people stay together if someone is getting beat up?

And let's also remember that getting beat up isn't just a physical thing. How about the spouse who endured years of smug contempt, quiet mental cruelty, and absolute neglect? Psychological or spiritual battery is worse for being undetectable to the naked eye. Nobody deserves to be imprisoned in that kind of marriage.

And I notice enough people around here smiling at the thought of taxing those who seek divorce. I thought conservatives didn't believe in using the tax codes on behalf of social engineering.
