Dangerous game here. They’ll have the best lawyers in the country, and most of the evidence may be thrown out. There’s a slight chance they’ll walk free.
With respect, the changes are far greater than “slight” that these individuals will either be found not guilty or a mistrial declared for failure of the government to disclose all relevant evidence. O.J. Simpson got off when the evidence against him was overwhelming. We should not be under any illusion that the prosecution will be able to bring forth witnesses to put the finger on these people, when some of them may be dead or whereabouts unknown. There’s probably some illiterate goatherder living in a hut in Yemen, who provided key evidence, who will never be brought to the US to testify.
