Pretty sweeping statement, that.

I agree. The private sector is most certainly under attack, I just lost my business, but there are still ways to make money.

The silver lining in this cloud is the Tea Party movement. It is growing in number and intensity as more realize the severity of the situation. Obama's policies are creating serious backlash, as the recent gubernatorial races clearly show.

The Tea Party phenomenon is clearly a budding revolution, in structure not unlike the sixties leftist "movement" only this time in the opposite ideological direction.

I marched in the sixties for leftist causes, I was part of the upheaval of those years. Then I got a job, began paying taxes (and attention) and gravitated rightward rather swiftly.

The WAR ON THE PRIVATE SECTOR is our VietNam, talk radio our tribal drumbeat. Glenn Beck is our Abbie Hoffman. Our movement will not be derailed by drugs, because we are adults and there is no Timothy Leary (OK, maybe we should keep a watch on Lindsey Graham).

Oh, and unlike the hippies, we have the internet.

The sixties leftist movement had powerful psychological trappings. There was an intoxicating sense of belonging to a tribe of activists that would change the world for the better, though history shows we damn-near ruined it. I attended the 9-12 rally in DC, and the freeper convention. Many in my circle of friends now approach me, curious about our "movement" and wanting to join in and "do something". It is beginning to be "cool" to be against the Obama policies specifically, as the polls clearly show. This is war, people, and our side is beginning to mobilize. Our growth will be exponential, as there is safety in numbers, which allows more to come out, speak out, and decide to enlist in our quest to save capitalism for our children. Please do not underestimate the power of the Tea Party movement. It has the ability to defeat the socialists in Washington, through the ballot box.

The powers that be say we are leaderless, but they don't realize we don't need leaders, perhaps we shouldn't even want them. Our power is in our spontaneity, our singularity of purpose, our ability to organize to communicate our ire, and the fact that history and current events reveal us to be right about the danger the left's socialist policies portend for our country.
