Probably a hit by someone. N. Korean diplomatic personnels like him are usually into illegal activities to earn hard currencies for the N. Korea state: drug running, supplying counterfeit currencies among others.

Hence, they have to deal with organized criminal elements in China. If something goes wrong during one of these dealings, he can be killed by either Chinese mobs or N. Korean agents for his screwups. Sometimes, people like him siphoned proceeds from the deals, and get caught by N. Korean authorities.

On the other hand, he could have simply called it quits and was trying to bail out of N. Korea. N. Koreans stationed overseas have unlimited access to outside information. They tend to realize the futility of sticking with Kim Jong-il regime and seriously worry about N. Korea's future as well as his own. So he may be about to defect but N. Korean agents got him first. Actually, there had been indeed a rumor that a N. Korean diplomat stationed in Shenyang disappeared and was trying to defect.

SHENYANG!??

P.S. By the way, we get Obongo this afternoon.

Then you can have him.

I think if DPRK makes a move against the South on the NLL or the DMZ, they will have to do it today or tomorrow, to see if they can rattle his cage and give him the squirts, try to get some concessions out of The Master Appeaser.

Heaven knows they would NEVER try something like that when Reagan or Bush 1 (or 2 for that matter, or even probably Clinton) were in the region. With this current individual in there seen as an immense empty suit, I wouldnt doubt anything the Norks might try to pull today or over the weekend.
