Sarah Palin did not believe her 2008 interview with CBS News Anchor Katie Couric would be a defining moment in the presidential election, she tells Oprah Winfrey in an upcoming interview -- but she knew it was bad.
The McCain campaign, however, thought the interview went well, Palin tells Winfrey in an interview that will broadcast Monday.
"The campaign said, right on. Good. You're showing your independence," Palin said, according to an excerpt from the interview. "And of course I'm thinking, if you thought that was a good interview, I don't know what a bad interview is because I knew it was a bad interview."
Palin was lampooned by Saturday Night Live for the interview, which some called a "turning point" in the campaign.

Did anybody working for McCain know his @$$ from a hole in the ground?
Most apparently not.
I guess what they were saying was it didnt matter how bad it was, she was a plus for the ticket, which she was, and McCain would have won if he wasnt such a horses ass and suspend his campaign so he could go to Washington and fix the economic crisis or whatever. A horses a$$, but for reasons other than you think, Steve-b, notorious liberal..
According to some exerts of the book floating around, Nicole Wallace is the one that told Sarah to sit down with Katie Couric, saying that Katie is a big fan of hers-both being working mothers, and that Katie has the lowest news show and needs a boost in the ratings. Nicole also apparently told Sarah that Katie suffers from low self esteem..yeah just look at those ratings, I can understand why LOL. The entire campaign was a bust..blind squirrels could have done a better job running it then those idiots

The McCain campaign was hell bent on making sure Obama won the election. From McCain suspending his campaign to vote for a bill NO ONE wanted, to his handlers treating Sarah. They filled her head with so much fear and crap that she was terrified of answering the most simplest of questions, fearing what might be behind it. They should have let her be HERSELF. She was never a typical politician, she was just a person who wanted to make a difference. Instead these buffoons tried making her into a robot which failed miserably
I believe McCain was too. The liar and thief. When it was said he was going to be our nominee when he was practically out of the race; I new the race was fixed.
That's a ridiculous comment.
Baloney.
Says you. I say bs to you.
BTW, your tag line is nonsensical, too.
I hope Sarah Palin takes Couric and the rest of the partisan media shills to task for their water-carrying for their fellow Demwits — including SNL alum Al Franken, who stole his seat in the Senate with lots of help from criminals.
Sarah got exposure via McCain, albeit good and bad, and through it got the short end of the stick. These days, however, that stick can be used to poke them in the eye (she's not going to just "go away" which undoubtedly would have been the RINO and democrat (Couric et al) preference.
Are you the Bizarro steve-b? Holy crap now you praising Palin.

Yeah, sure. The multi-TRILLION dollar collapse of our economy and MCnutcase’s flakey response had nothing to do with it. s/
Suspending his campaign made my blood boil. STUPID.
Bush declaring an economic disaster in October did not help either.
And the MSM sealed the deal but reporting opinion as fact yet again ...
WHAT? The race wasn't fixed.
The stupid American public voted for Obama because of being told to vote for him by the MSM.
The other 2 factors ... the October economy disaster or "surprise" and McCain's awful campaign (suspension for a day, etc... )
Ah, spoken like a true lib.
