I left out an important point. For those within the Church who are in error on these issues, the proper approach is to their spirit not their politics. And this is the proper mission of the Church.
Makes all kinds of good sense. Thank you.
But it's all that, PLUS journalistic fraud. The bishops --- they're pathetically divided on PelosiCare. Some are just yearning to support it --- yet not a few explicitly oppose it (including almost 50 bishops who, according to Raymond Arroyo of EWTN, have objected to PelosiCare on the basis of "Subsidiarity": that's catholictalk for "Why So Socialist?") which means they still presumably object to it, Stupak Amendment notwithstanding. But what do we hear about this? Zero. Nada.
But No bishop has actually endorsed HR 3962, despite all their equivocating ecclesastical bafflegab. And the USCCB has NOT endorsed it. But Chris Korzen's bogus "Catholics United" group engineered this fraudulent journalistic coup, and it's now made its was to 10,000 media outlets and blogs. Lies, Damnlies, and Press Releases.
And while this is going on Lynn Woolsey and a rep from CO are asking for an investigation of the Bishops and removal of the Church's tax exemption. They are getting it both ways.
People like me who have been straining every muscle to get bishops to break out of the left-wing puzzle maze, are reduced to bashing our heads against a wall.
But no. We're going to fight them.
D-fendr: pray hard, and fight.
