The civilian police officer credited with confronting and disabling the man accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood Army Post said Wednesday she is "doing well."
In an interview, Oprah Winfrey spoke with Sgt. Kimberly Munley and another first responder, Sgt. Mark Todd, by teleconference from Killeen. Munley suffered three gunshot wounds -- in both thighs and a knuckle.
She remains at Metroplex Adventist Hospital in good condition, authorities said.
Munley, who officials said has been trained in active-response tactics, wounded the alleged shooter, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, several times in her effort to stop him, officials said. Hasan is the only suspect in the shooting.
"I'm doing well," Munley told Winfrey. "Every day is progress for me, and things are getting better day by day. And emotionally, I'm just hoping that the rest of the officers and the injured and the families of the deceased are healing as well."
Todd was uninjured in the November 5 shooting. The dead included 12 soldiers and one civilian.
The interviews were to air on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Wednesday.

Two civilians. Two.
Have they been able to ascertain if her partner Sgt. Todd fired at Hasan and if so, did he score any hits? We’ve heard a lot about Munley (deservedly so!) but not so much about her partner who was out there with her.

“Police officer who shot Fort Hood suspect” Suspect?... Suspect?
Are we outsourcing our journalism to radical Islam?
People say this kind of stuff when they are under the influence of lawyers.
I susect that both hit Hasan. Mark Todd effectivley limited Hasan’s ability to move behind a barricade to protect himself from Munley, and he may also have hit him.
I suspect that both officers can claim credit. As they should. They were acting as a team.
God bless this wonderful woman!!!!
So whatever happened to Hasan? You don’t hear anything about the murderer anymore. He must already be rehabilitated.
It’s my understanding that her partner brought Hasan down with four shots. But.....he’s only a white guy and ignored by the press and the President.
Has anyone heard anything about the shooter’s injuries? I recall an early report that he was paralyzed (which would be fitting).

Oprah's a liberal, she's not pro-military, she's not pro-police, she's not pro-gun -- I could go on and on.
Again, < :(
Its all part of that innocent until proven guilty thing.
As long as the perp is alive and untried in court, he is technically alleged, suspected, etc.
None of us like it, and there is no doubt hes guilty, but the rule of law says we have to wait a bit till its official.
I can live with that.
I hope he doesnt.
Source?
Is Todd white? I saw a picture of a black man next to one of Kim Munley and assumed it was Todd.
... Munson **who should get credit for engaging the terrorist** went around the corner of a building (to reload??) and the terrorist followed her and shot her.
Then her partner engaged the terrorist and brought the terrorist down.

Munley can’t help it; the graduates of the invariably liberal journalism
schools can’t help themselves when they think they have found a
feminist icon in the middle of a gun battle.
Munley admirably did her job, may have wounded the murderous Hasan,
but thank G-d Todd came around the corner right after her and
put the b@$tard down.
It will be interesting to see what the crime-scene investigators
develop in details of how Hasan was incapacitated.
