I rarely come to threads like this because I hate to wade through the nasty muck spewed by people who apparently despise Mormons. I don’t understand this most recent action by the leadership of the Mormon church, but the Mormons I know are the most rock-solid patriots I have ever met. God bless them. Hang in there. Not all FReepers are like some the freaks who frequent these threads.
Utah and Mormons have a very low military enlistment rate.
We do not dispise MORMONS, we despise MORMONism.
And being a good “patriot” (never mind they would sell out the US govt in favor of the “church” and promise in their temples to put LDS, inc. before EVERYTHING else) does not get you to Heaven.
Our concern is with their eternal souls.
