He’s dead. We have exterminated a predator amongst us. This is not a moment for joy, but relief mixed with sadness, since we have lost yet another man to hell. We must protect our own, reluctantly, we approve capital punishment but not retribution. That is for the Lord and not for us. How can we stop the next Muslim terrorist, whether homegrown or imported? That is what we need to address. Waterboarding? If required and it produces the information needed. Capital punishment? That’s like saying that we admit that we have lost.
I have no compunction againt welding the bars shut on the cage; yet, when it comes to the final end, should we really have state sanctioned execution? Unless we don’t have the guts to maintain truly life imprisonment.

But I respectfully disagree.
It doesn't take guts to embrace the copout. It takes consummate arrogance.

If one "life" prisoner escapes and kills again, it renders your argument moot.
And since it has already occured more than once, the entire argument is forfeit.
