Anyway, although Tulsa is GOP-leaning, since then-Mayor Jim Inhofe left office in ‘84, we’ve only won twice, once in ‘88 (for a two-year term) and again in ‘02 (Bill LaFortune lost reelection in ‘06). Dewey Bartlett, Jr. is the namesake son of the former Governor and Senator.
I hope Bartlett can begin to redeem the Republican party after the administration of Bill Lafortune, who is a decent guy but was in the wrong job as mayor.
Bartlett kinda reminds me of the microsoft guy in the TV commercials. :)
