Don’t act stupidly and jump to conclusions. We don’t have all the facts yet and can’t know what he was thinking.
“I am sorry for all the wrongs we have wrought and continue to bring to his home country and relatives. Surely, that must have weighed heavily on him as he contemplated being deployed to his home territory and the death we will be dealing to his cousins. I am sure he found it overwhelming and sadly he was unable to stop the wheels in motions, though he tried.”
“As a nation of diverse beliefs, we should empathize with,... and demonstrate great respect for the growing mooslim nation in this country.”
“I ask and hope there will not be a backlash to the mooslim community and that we respect their great contribution to the building of this country”.
“Sadly, nearly 40 troops, who I consider weapon inventory, were not able to evade the bullets but, showed great character in helping their fellow troops. This even while I was giving a shout out to some dork from a tribe I never heard of.(still don’t know why my people sent me to “those people).”
“Please join me in a moment of silence(for no particular reason) as we face the flag, which you will see is located in the east part of room, under a crescent symbol.”
“This symbol is to recognize that our work is not yet done”
(the whole act will go something like that)
As much as I am nausiated by the sound of his voice and disturbed by has mannerisms, I need to watch his speech.
I am reminded of Bill Clinton coming to OKC for the Murrah Bombing Memorial. He was lauded for very appropriate words and avoiding any political commentary (I just didn’t want to see him there). But BJ could not help himself and blame talk radio before he got back on AF1.
Let’s see what BHO says at the memorial and then see what he says in the following hours.
