I wonder why Beck didn’t sue for libel?

Bad precedent set in the Jerry Falwell vs. Hustler Magazine case.

I would like to consider the possibility that Beck went to the panel just to make it clear that he didn't approve of his name used in this manner, nit being so concerned if he won or lost. It beats the heck out of having a press conference stating that you didn't do the acts in question.
