A good thwack of the rolled-up newspaper to the nose, which will hopefully discourage any other such attempts to undermine our sovereignty in this manner.

Beck actually had a problem with this? Why would he even give the guy any publicity? He fell into a trap.

As a guy who's written a number of parodies (see, Rainforest Man, for example), I agree with the decision.

The fact that the Beck parody is not based in any fact, is completely unfunny and slimy, is irrelevant. Taste is not for the judge to arbitrate.

Beck didn't sue for libel, he sued for infringement and had no case.

What if the shoe were on the other foot and they used Obama’s name in a lie like that? Or Pelosi’s? Or Mohammed’s?

How and conservative could support Beck on this is beyond me. The cult of personality knows no political bounds.

We never had a problem bashing Bush on this site when he did things wrong--ove, and over, and over--yet Glenn is Perfect to some?

Why is appealing to "international law" suddenly ok with some Beck fans?

It's about freedom, not siding with your fave celebrity and making excuses for why you suddenly aren't backing the conservative position.

‘the site’s creator, Isaac Eiland-Hall’

So somebody is working on the
IsaacEilandHallrapedmurderedboy.com site right? Right?

Can we start up domain names with Isaac Eiland-Hall’s name in them?

Trademark infringment? How about libel??!

I’d stand with Beck against the website owner if he were suing for libel—the URL is libelous. But trademark infringment? No thanks, we don’t need folks who should be supporting liberty joining in the corruption of intellectual property law.

Eiland-Hall

Well, I guess it's time to set up an even more inflammatory site incorporating this dickhead's name. Now that he's a public figure, any smear goes.

“Eiland-Hall also argued that the site doesn't infringe on Beck's trademark because there's no likelihood that Web users wrongly think he's affiliated with it. “Only an abject imbecile could believe that the domain name would have any connection to the complainant,” Randazza wrote. “

Sadly there is no shortage of abject imbeciles in the world.
