Dammit, people! Are we really this stupid? EVERYTHING this guy has done since inauguration has been to the benefit of our enemies and to our detriment. This decision is no different. Rather than simply announcing that we will put down the extremists, help the Afghans take control of their own destiny and get out, we have announced our intentions to increase pressure (Vietnam, anyone?) and stay indefinitely (infidel invaders).
Tell me that’s going to go over well in the hearts and minds department...!
A few minutes ago the White House disputed this.
Evidently Muslims take longer to make decisions, when it comes to attacking other Muslims.
White House is already denying it...

Coincidence the decisioon comes a week after special election, and 2 days after their precious commie health care bill.
Or maybe not. The White House is saying that Obama needs to think about it some more first, and to consult with more advisers, and that these news reports are premature and unauthorized.

I just wonder if the extra troops going to Afghanistan is being used as a bargaining chip with a few Senators to get their vote on the health care bill.

CBS) Editor's note, 9:57 p.m. EDT: The White House has issued the following response to this story, attributed to White House National Security Advisor James Jones:
"Reports that President Obama has made a decision about Afghanistan are absolutely false. He has not received final options for his consideration, he has not reviewed those options with his national security team, and he has not made any decisions about resources. Any reports to the contrary are completely untrue and come from uninformed sources."
Thanks. I knew I saw that denial somewhere, and that it involved more discussion with his advisers, and more thinking about it, but I couldn’t remember where I saw it.
That’s going to get the media kind of ticked off, if somebody in the White House leaked that 40K figure and then they got the rug pulled out from under them after broadcasting it as the gospel truth.
Yes...who and why would leak something like this? Maybe someone who wants Obama to make up his FREAKING MIND???
If true, I’ll give Obama credit for doing the right thing, despite his indecision.
