Oh, please. I’ve always liked Michael Steele, but now this.

Michael Steele has been a huge disappointment to conservatives. He seems to oppose almost anyone or anything we support while kissing up to leftist interviewers i.e. the Limbaugh-bashing incident that helped set the tone for his utterly failed chairmanship.

This is a crucial time for America - and the Republican party. While Michael Steele may have once been a 'shining star' to Republicans, he is no more. Steele has shown himself to be an ineffectual party leader who can't articulate conservative principles because he obviously doesn't believe in them. I no longer take Michael Steel seriously. He needs to be replaced or the GOP is doomed to being nothing but a faint echo of the liberal Democrat party. That would mean disaster for our country.

Sorry Mr. Steel - you can whine about race all you want. The fact remains that you're ineffective and vapid, to boot. Time to go.

I am not against Steele because he is black, but for his stupid remarks and obamma-leaning views. He is not a leader and needs to be removed as soon as possible. As long as he holds on to the chairmanship, the republicans are in big trouble. This guy is a disaster.

I hate when a black person play the race-card like Steele has done here. Is that supoosed to make me all of a sudden like them? Instead, that turns me against them faster than almost anything else. And it sticks with me. I am like an elephant, I do not forget.

Hip-Hop Steele. Showing just why the GOP is a frickin joke. Of course the biggest joke of all is on those white people who continue to insist “race doesn’t matter”.

Michael Steele: Some white Republicans are scared of me.

I didn't seem to notice that at the GOP convention last year, when Steele gave that outstanding "Drill, baby, drill!" speech. White (and other) Republicans have no problem with Steele when he resonates with them on the issues. Problem is that too often Steele deviates from what we think should be the Republican message. He's not the only prominent GOP politician who does so, but his job title is essentially "chief Republican", so he has to be more circumspect with what he says.

The Democrats are self-destructing now, so the GOP showed last week that it can win regardless of Steele's rhetorical gaffes. I, for one, don't see any urgency in replacing him as RNC chair. Just as wins and losses are the bottom line for a sports coach, electoral success or failure are the bottom line for a party chair. So far, the GOP is doing well in that regard under Steele, or maybe in spite of him. And as things stand now, the GOP stands to do well next year, so there's no need for Republicans to go overboard in criticizing him at the present time.

The color of Mr. Steele’s skin has NOTHING to do with what scares me about him. What scares me is, what’s going to come out of his RINO mouth next? How did this guy ever become the “leader” of the RNC?????

“Michael Steele : Some white Republicans are scared of me”

Yeah—scared that you’re going to keep screwing up to the point of blowing the elections next year which should otherwise be a cakewalk for Republicans.

Quit making a fool of yourself and further damaging the party.

Show you have integrity and resign now.

For a story such as this the editors should lift the restriction on profanity & racial slurs. I find myself unable to comment without them.

Mr. Steele is a major political dummy. The Rinos found him on the short bus. All that mattered is that he is Black and to a Rino this means all Black people will vote for them.

I think he’s mistaking PANDERING for scared.

Michael Steele isn’t scaring anyone, the only thing we’re scared of is you destroying the Republican party. Don’t worry Mike you’re well on your way to irrelevancy. Every time this clown opens his mouth he inserts his foot.

See Mike, I’m treating you like any other RINO, I’m not pulling any punches or pandering to you because you’re black, you big nerd. No money for the RNC, just to individual conservative candidates.

Steele has to go. The Democrat party has more than enough race pimps for all of us.
