Sorry for your loss. Is your Dad buried in the Armytown, Vets Cemetery? My Dad passed in 2001, he’s buried there.

My Dad was drafted and served honorably during WWII. He helped make modifications to gear up vehicles to make them functional for an amphibian landing.

He repaired airplanes each evening getting them ready for the next days raids.

He was very active throughout his life working to honor his fellow veterans and honored the many that he met that did not come home.

He still became teary when he remembered the many young men that took off in their planes any given morning and did not come back to the base in the evening. One evening there were no planes for him to repair as the entire force had been ambushed.

My father was a patriot and at the funeral active military personnel and veterans said thank you and goodbye to their COMRADE. It is not a commie thing.

I have been to Armytown to attend my Uncle’s burial. Our parents were indeed part of a great generation to serve their country against oppressive evil forces.
