But Sen. Joe Lieberman wasted no time in saying he can't support the public insurance plan in the House bill. Not going to be an issue. Watch what will happen, it'll be the old congressional rope-a-dope. The public option will be stripped out of the senate version so RATs like Lieberman will have cover to vote for it. It passes, then the public option (along with abortion) is put in the conference version for Barry to sign. Everyone has cover for when they go back to their districts and Socialism marches on.

If the public option is put back in, it wont pass the Senate when it returns from conference. Similarly, if abortion is put back in, the bill could easily fail in the House when it returns.

Doesn’t the final version which comes out of the conference committee have to be passed by both houses before it goes to the presidents desk.
