I could be wrong, and I hope I am.

If Whitman actually tries to implement her 3 point plan it could set the state back on the right track. She will have to fight every union in the state as well as the lefty media from day one. I don't know if she has the guts for that kind of fight.

Poizner has the 10-10-10 plan and some vague crap about education. Again, he will have to defeat every union in the state to even get started on his agenda. His stand on education is amorphous enough for him to declare victory no matter what happens.

For some reason I keep getting the impression that no matter who wins the governorship of California...we lose.

Your impressions are correct. It’s not about the Governor; it’s about our crappy legislature, which is overwhelmingly Democratic, and their refusal to work with a GOP Governor.

In addition, the special interest groups have a huge place setting at the table, and that is not going to change until we change the make-up of the State Assembly.
