We still don’t know what this guy has been doing all of these years. There is an 8 year gap before he started at Tech and then someone hands him a commission and a slot at Med School, these things don’t grow on trees.

We still don’t know what this guy has been doing all of these years. There is an 8 year gap before he started at Tech and then someone hands him a commission and a slot at Med School, these things don’t grow on trees.

According to a NY Times timeline, here:

- Hasan joined the army in 1988, right after graduating from Roanoke's William Fleming H.S.

- Hasan graduated from V Tech College of Agrriculture and Life Sciences with a BS degreee in 1995, "after attending several community colleges."

According to the Roanoke Times, former neighbors of  the Hasans in Vinton said he went to Virginia Western (a community college), and The Roanoke Times archives show he graduated from Virginia Tech in 1995, but...

"Virginia Tech, however, had no record of Hasan's participation in its Corps of Cadets or ROTC program. The Washington Post reported he enlisted in the Army after high school."

According to foxdc.com:

Military records show he also served in the ROTC as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg and received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry there in 1997.

But college officials said Friday that Hasan graduated with honors in biochemistry in 1995 and there was no record of him serving in any ROTC program.

He previously had attended Barstow Community College in Barstow, Calif., and Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, Va., according to Virginia Tech records.

So to sum up, the Army paid his college tuition, he graduated twice with the same degree, after either seven or nine years which included community college in at least two states, and he did and didn't join the ROTC.

This mess doesn't reflect very well on the Army, Dave, and I doubt that has anything to do with Congress or the Executive.
