No, the victims, nor their families will be able to sue. There was a Supreme Court decision from 1951 named Feres v United States. From it, sprung what has become known as the Feres Doctrine. The Supreme Court ruled that the service members and their families could not sue the government for negligence - either institutionalized negligence, or the negligence of a specific individual.

Thanks. I’m certainly not sue-happy, but this is a tragic shame for these families - to lose sons, daughters, wives, husbands, dads and moms because of PC gone amok...
