An action that is against the law. Shooting up an army base definitely qualifies as a crime. Being Muslim does not.

Ridiculous is assuming that because someone shoots up a school, then all gun owners are evil. Ridiculous is assuming that because one nut shoots an abortionist, then everyone in the pro-life movement should be kept under close police supervision. Ridiculous is taking one person's actions and assuming a whole group is about to do the same thing. You're the one who jumped head-long into ridiculous long ago.
