Moms and family do pretty good at dealing with all of this. We are accustomed to watching the driveway during deployment attacks but this was a bit new. Your family took care of what needed to be done. Don’t spank yourself.
Oh I'm not despondent about it. But one must admit one's errors if one is to improve. Scaring an 83 y/o "farm girl" unnecessarily, two days after her birthday, is an error in judgment. A small one to be sure, but still an error.
OTOH, it meant she got two calls from the prodigal son last week. :)
