What really needs to happen is for the insurance industry and the doctors/hospitals to stand up and say HELL NO. They have been way too quiet on this debate.
Folks don’t realize what is going to be happening to the medical community as a result of ARRA HITECH and the new reform legislation. There not only will be cost cuts but the docs will have to implement EHRS and there will be tremendous reporting requirements — some of it for clinical information that does not even exist in most folks charts (or at least electronically). They need to fight back.

I guess they really thought this wasn’t going to pass. How many jobs will be lost from the insurance companies in the USA? We need to get some BIG numbers on this soon....yell it all over the place. Docs seem mute. Go figure—it’s their living standards at stake too.
Illegals will bankrupt the states too.
