WPTV: Last month, when Trevor Keezer started bringing his Bible to work, Keezer says his manager confronted him about the ["One nation under God, indivisible."] button. "That's when I was told it had to come off, or I would be sent home. So they sent me home for six straight days without pay. And then today they terminated me."
Oh well, it’s time to stop buying from Home Depot!
Look out Lowes here I come...until you do the same.
BOYCOTT THEM! Lowes is so much cheaper anyway.
Someone find Kenneth Lagone and tell him about this. Ken will fix this!
So I guess now he’ll probably shoot everyone at Home Depot, right? Oh... right.
I thought they were more expensive or the same?
Their stores are cleaner!
I do my hardware shopping at Lowes. Plus I like the Kolbalt line of tools.
HD dare not offend Gays and Muslims.
Aren’t there enough Christians to stand up and be counted and boycott Home Depot! What have we come to as a country?
Well atheist/buddists/muslims/pagan ect our important customers too.
Money, money money makes businesses thrive and having customers offended could hamper that.
I thank God everyday for the little recluse area we live in along with ALL God loving, plumbers/electricians ect ect.
Its pretty different living in a place that is united by Catholics/Baptists...ect who do business and worship God onenly or invoke his name for Thanks and Praise.
Lowe’s can be the same or cheaper in my area. The Lowe’s in my area also has a “dead rack” for plants. I have 7 orchids that I’ve bought from Lowe’s dead rack for $2 to $10. Home Depot does not put their plants on sale. They send plants back to the grower for refund. I like Lowe’s.

Michael Masinter, a civil rights and employment law professor at NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, said any lawsuit over religious discrimination might be a tough one to win.
"Because it's a private business, not one that's owned and operated by the government, it doesn't have to operate under the free speech provisions of the First Amendment," Masinter said. "But we're not talking about religious displays here," he said. "This sounds more like a political message ... Wearing a button of that sort would not easily be described as a traditional form of religious expression like wearing a cross or wearing a yarmulke."
The Home Depot launched Project Homefront to support military families. It was created to help military families with repair and maintain their homes while a family member is deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Hmmm...I’ve always had three unwritten personal rules when working for someone else; never discuss 1)religion, 2)sex, or 3)politics. The reason is simple - customers are how a business makes money. You don’t want to alienate your customers. Stay away from controversial or personal issues when conversing with coworkers because teamwork is important.
Just so you know where I’m coming from let me tell you that I worked with Muslims, Jews, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hindus, Mormans, mainline Christians and (the noisiest of the group) Baptists!
Our HD and Lowes are about 1/2 mile apart too. I will be shopping Lowes only, after I check Walmart first. :)
Saved $9.40 this AM just by showing my VA card!
Companies have policies. Employees can adhere to those policies or not. Consumers can boycott or not. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
Just sayin’ - what if he wears his Christian pin then the next day, Ahmad Sim Solla Bim shows up with his “Allah Akbar” pin? Muzzie has to be allowed to wear his.
Be consistent, that’s all.
I didn’t know that. I’ve always liked Lowe’s better because it’s a nicer store and the people are nicer.
After all, aren't CHRISTIANS the REAL terrorists?
