Ok, as much as I dislike the Obama administration, I don’t believe anyone is well served by his presence at Ft. Hood.

I agree. They have enough to do without having the extra headache of a presidential visit.

And if he did, the headline would be that he was grandstanding.

It doesn’t matter what the headline might be. it’s not about him. As C-I-C, he’s supposed to go. President Bush didn’t get a pass when it was Katrina.

Whose headline?

The media would be slobbering all over him for being such a wonderful, compassionate man.

He didn't go because he doesn't care. A military base always accepts a visit from the Commander in Chief.

Only we don't HAVE one.
