More important, security people should note who arrives early, taking a seat as he did, looking around a lot at exits, scanning security people, etc. My guess is they already do that, but this should serve as a wake-up call. Further, the podium should be bullet proof and the speaker reminded to duck behind it if he sees anything or a guard makes the call.
I wonder if there wasn't a fat dossier on this guy that the Israeli's might have offered to share with their American counterparts. If so, what path did such information take, and was there any in the administration covering for the guy?
