Whats scary is the access this Major had to some important people.

How about the "not-so-important" people he had access to? Can you imagine being counseled by someone who represents what you are being sent to destroy? How about the soldiers who returned from Iraq or Afghanistan and receiving "psychological help" from this doctor? The fact that he was so conflicted himself had to have some impact on the way he treated his patients.

Let me start by saying that I am so full of anger, frustration, sadness, hopelessness, and so many more emotions at this point that I am not sure how this is going to turn out. Here is a little background I have lived in the immediate Ft Hood area for most of my life. My father retired from the military here. My husband is now retired from the military here. We just moved off post at the beginning of this year. Imagine my shock seeing national media in front of the "welcome to the great place" sign I pass almost everyday. Now to the real reason I am writing. Major Nadal Husan. The man worked at the very clinic that misdiagnosed my husband. After one and a half tours to Iraq this clinic determined that my husband suffered from a preexisting personality disorder. Mind you my husband had no mental health problems before the tours to Iraq. After the army trying to sweep us under the rug and trying to do everything they could do to kick my husband out of the army without giving him the reti [ Report Abuse ]

Hasan's "counseling" activities provided him access to all kinds of sensitive information about troop morale, operations, vulnerabilities, etc. He was certainly in a position to collect this type of intelligence.
