Yesterday, I heard one of the networks say O would be attending the memorial service. I say too little too late — don’t bother. I just don’t know if I can watch the mournful facial expressions he’s been practicing in front of a mirror.

He can practice all he wants, it won’t make any difference. The only expression he’s capable of mustering when it comes to showing either patriotism or compassion for patriotic Americans, is one of constipation. He doesn’t know how it feels to be either compassionate or patriotic, so he doesn’t know how to fake it.
If the shooter (a child of Palestinians) had died, then maybe Carter too, but since it was only our military who suffered casualties, I doubt he'll show up.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if Carter doesn't issue a "moral equivalency" statement about the pain and suffering inflicted on our soldiers, and the pain and suffering inflicted on the Palestinian people.
He perfected that approach when his grannie died during the campaign.
