I had observed former General Wesley Clark on the television and a ranking serving General, side by side, though separate locations. General Clark repeated the old liberal mantra that it is good that the man survived. Now we can find out exactly why this man acted as he did. The ranking General came in with one terse statement. He disagreed. He seemed to be saying- and I stand to be corrected, that we already know exactly why.
I remember Theodore Dalrymple who has spent many years in psychiatric evaluations in prisons, dealing with this liberal mantra. At first there seemed to be much to this idea. Try to spot the signs of trouble and who it was, were exacerbating the future problems of an individual.
Dr Dalrymple has said that enormous volumes (not his exact words) have been amassed on the development of criminal behaviour. One of the major facets of his interviews with criminals was their tendency to disassociate themselves from what they did. "The knife went in" was one gem, he picked up on ie: "the knife did it".
There then follows the brigade who blame something and someone else, for the tragic event. This brigade is out in full force, making excuses for this man. There is any number of ways, he could have dealt with his outrage. He has no excuse. The bottom line is that one should deal with a perceived wrong in the exact proportion that it deserves.
Nobody, but nobody even so much as laid a finger on him. He did not face violence- he should not have used violence.

But in his weekly address, Obama says, "We cannot fully know what leads a man to do such a thing."
I wonder what Bush's response to this would be --and I am asking a serious question

“We cannot fully know what leads a man to do such a thing.”
I’ll make a wild assed guess - it was the Koran’s injunction to kill or enslave kafir? I know, I’m just pulling that out of left field.
