dear Church: when will you stop allowing yourself to be treated like a common whore by American politicians?

Signed, A concerned member.

“A Call to Catholics Don’t let abortion politics stand in the way of affordable coverage for all.”

What is more important, LIFE or your social justice issue du jour?

I don’t think the Kennedy’s, Pelosi’s and Gulliani’s think of health care for the “unborn child”

In this instance, the national interest is to pass meaningful health-care reform and not litigate abortion in the process.

Okay, then we stick with the status quo, and taxpayer funded abortion is off the table.

There, that was easy, wasn't it.

Shut up, KKT, and go watch an abortion ultrasound tonight instead of a Broadway show.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church elaborates on this principle in theological, and almost poetic terms:
God has not willed to reserve to himself all exercise of power. He entrusts to every creature the functions it is capable of performing, according to the capacities of its own nature. This mode of governance ought to be followed in social life. The way God acts in governing the world, which bears witness to such great regard for human freedom, should inspire the wisdom of those who govern human communities.
Safe to say that Pelosi, Sebelius, et al haven't dusted off a Catechism since CCD.

We couldn't get rid of Ted. What makes you think we could dump her?

As a Catholic, all I can say is that it's all about the money. Makes it easier for me to contribute ZERO during the offertory.

The Roman Catholic Church and American Catholics...

So, according to Ms. Kennedy, these are mutually exclusive entities? What a revealing insight into the mentality she and others like her share. They do not even see themselves as Roman Catholics, but schismatic "American" Catholics. She may not have overtly intended that, but it reveals what she's thinking inside.

Too much is at stake to let differences over abortion derail real health reform.

This statement is so mind-numbingly illogical, I don't know whether to bang my head against the wall or throw my monitor out the window.

We are a nation run by imbeciles who've lost all capacity for discursive reasoning.

KKT failed miserably when she ran for Gov of MD, only way we got a R, Bob Ehrlich as Gov.

Nobody liked her.

I knew her from the late 80s, she acted like a 14 YO.
