I read a report somewhere earlier that said Sgt. Hunley had been shot about 4 times.....I don’t remember where all she was hit - but a true heroine! Fearless!
She is from NC and her dad is the mayor of Carolina Beach, NC. She served on and was recognized for her outstanding work on the Wrightsville Beach police force earlier this decade.
She is married to a Ft. Bragg (I believe) soldier.
Her dad and her husband are said to be on their way to Texas to be with her. I think I also read she has a 2 year old child and an older child by a previous relationship - but who knows if all these facts are true.
I am just very happy she was an expert with firearms and took the perp down - and that she is from NC!!!
