I can see the media making the cop an issue, lest people be allowed to consider the nature of the shooter.
Probably surprised the muslim that an American woman had the nerve to pull a gun on him. One thing about a woman cop that scares the hell out of criminals.......they will shoot.
Nothing to it. Rapid response is when the perp is shooting everyone in sight better engage him as soon as possible.
I see the opportunity for this young lady to write a book on her life and the event at Ft Hood.
I also see her as a motivational guest speaker or if that is not her forte, as an instructor to a lot of police departments.

Has anyone read or heard what she was shooting?
She hit the evil-doer 4 times before he went down.
And what was he shooting?
According to this story she took 5 hits and kept coming.
Sounds like dueling 9mm.
Better yet, let the people who taught her teach others. She is doing exactly what she was born to do.
She hit this nut 4 times and he kept shooting? Apparently she needs a change of ammo.
I want the media to make an issue of this cop. She is a hero. I would rather hear her story than the story of a dirt bag terrorist.
Thank God for Sgt. Munley, and may she recover completely.
The officer, most likely, was equipped with a 9 mm or 40 cal semi auto pistol, which she used in an exemplary manner.
Not necessarily. She may have shot him four times before gravity had a chance to remove him from the sight picture. God bless her. I hope that she fully recovers without lasting injuries.
I read here that he was using 5.7 caliber semiauto.
I have been through the training
Very effective
We don't know the engagement distance.
We do know the jihadi used a 5.7 x 28 mm semi auto pistol, range practiced regularly using hundreds of rounds, and was observed an excellent marksman at 100 yards. The 5.7 can easily be loaded to penetrate body armor, and AP ammo is available to military and police.
There is sufficient evidence to speculate that the officer was seriously outgunned, and engaged at a greater distance than her issue sidearm was ideally effective.
Its not hard when you are doing the right thing...glad she had the training
4 hits and the guy is still shooting? Wow.
