Let’s take the time to thank the worthless, useless GOP for doing its best to ensure that the Democrat party took this seat.

Some good will come of even this. There are more elections coming up soon.

Yes, the GOP screwed this up royally, but ultimately the voters are responsible for electing this scumbag.

When he raised his right hand to be sworn in, he only had his middle finger extended upward.

This was a rat scam from the git-go and the pubs fell right into the trap. But being the half-witted fools they are, that’s no surprise. Still, the voter was the final line of defense, and that turned out to be nothing that a few well-chosen lies couldn’t handle. Owens knew he wouldn’t be re-elected next year anyway. The rats just wanted to borrow the seat long enough to get another vote for zero’s agenda. I believe this was a Rahmbo scheme from the start. I wonder if the congressman who abandoned that seat to became secretary of the army is happy with himself. I wonder how long he’ll be in the job. When will zero fire him?

I’m reminded of the frog and scorpion fable:

The scorpion asks the frog to carry him on his back across a river. The frog said, “No, you’ll sting me and I’ll die.” The scorpion said, “No, I won’t.” The frog asked, “Why should I believe you? You’re a scorpion.” The scorpion replied, “You should believe I won’t sting you because I, too, would die.” So that seemed rational to the frog and he agreed, telling the scorpion to jump aboard. When they got to the middle of the river, the scorpion stung the frog and they both began to die. The frog asked the scorpion, “But why did you sting me? I was helping you. Now we both are dying. Why did you do this?” The scorpion replied, “Because it is my nature.”
