Video- Comparing Bush v. Obama on reaction to shooting massacres
Washington Times-Water Cooler ^ | 11/6/09 | Kerry Picket

Much is being said about President Obama's odd initial reaction to the shooting at Fort Hood. The president gave priority to giving a shout-out before commenting on the massacre. Perhaps he should have taken a cue from President Bush. Mr. Bush's statement after the Virginia Tech shooting in 2007 was dignified, presidential, and centered solely around the issue of the shooting a the school. Unfortunately, Mr. Obama's lack of empathy and self-centered nature ruled the day, as he felt the need to give thanks to federal employees and give an odd "shout out" before he even addressed the shooting itself. Compare both presidential statements in the two videos below.

President George W Bush: A leader of great faith and compassion who genuinely loves his country and the military who defends it.

Barack Obama: A useful idiot of ‘zero’ faith or compassion who genuinely despises his country and the military who defends it.

Interestingly academia/the MSM/the entertainment industry (and elitists on the left and right) hate the former and love the latter — our enemies couldn’t be happier!

It is worse than that. He is not a moron he just doesn’t care and his total disregard for this incident is part of his makeup. This tragedy and the root causes of it are not important to him and clash with his image of how things are in his view.

Not a moron and worse than a moron because he brushed this off as no more than an irritation, a sidebar to his agenda and him with malice of forethought ...what he does he does intentionally. Never doubt that.

***It’s all in the eyes. President Bush is so filled with compassion.... Obummer, not so much***

How true! You could see the sorrow in Pres. Bush’s eyes.

Sorry, I did mean me, or you, or anyone specific. We have allowed the unions, thugs, schools, political correctness, the ACLU, and an unbalanced power structure to ruin our country. Look at who represents us as a country, a narcissistic, dopey, classless, graceless buffoon. Why have we accepted this. That is what I meant, I guess. The comparison was just stunning.

That reminds me of how Clinton responded to the OKC bombing.

It may have been all fake, and all for the cameras, but I believe he gained a lot politically from his response. He had been reeling from one legislative and foreign policy disaster after another. But he sort of grew his sea legs after the OKC bombing and it rescued his presidency.

One of the things Clinton did was use the bombing as an excuse to (unfairly)attack the right wing. It gained him political points and threw off the right.

Obama's dilemma is that he can't blame it on the right, can't blame it on the military, and won't blame it on Islam.

This guy is truly Nixonian and I expect the difficulties of being president will push him further into a sort of cocoon, where he'll accomplish next to nothing other than enriching himself and enjoying the perks of the office. Meanwhile the country languishes.

The two videos say it all, don't they?

We have gone from GOOD to EVIL in the blink of an eye.

America, are you watching this? Do you SEE that he doesn't care about anyone but himself? Do you realize what you have done???

When this came on tv..we happened to be watching. My husband looked at me and said..what the hell is he BSing about? Both of us were puzzled and couldnt figure out what he was going on about..since the lead in said he was to address the shootings.

This person (I cant even call him a man) is a real idiot.

I was never a bush fan. At times, I couldnt wait to see him go. I cant believe that I wish he was back. I got a real chuckle out of that pix of him, that was floating around with the caption “miss me yet?”. I actually saved it. Damn right, we miss you...more than you know!!

Interesting thought comparing O to Nixon. We’ll have to see
how closely this plays out.

Omoslem is OKAY with fellow MOSLEMS killing Americans.

Why is that so hard for everyone to understand?

I had hopes that Jimmah Carter would go to his grave knowing that he was the worse President in US history, but, ZerO spoiled that.

Wow. We continually say that there is no comparison between GWB and the currant occupant. This video illustrates that in spades. I am not sure that BHO knows the meaning of compassion and empathy--and he certainly can't communicate either if he does. There is absolutely no feeling in his words---they are just that, words. To think that he said all that he did before beginning to speak of the massacre....I am continually amazed and appalled at this man.
