I have been called “cracker”, and so far haven’t felt an impulse to wreak mayhem on my fellow human beings.
Isn’t it common in the military to use every possible derogatory name, etc. to point out that no one is special, no one is better than anyone else- you’re all the same, miserable pukes who serve at the will of your commanding officer?

I prefer to be called a “peckerwood”, but I am a rather old school, paleoconservative.
