Does the Army still use firing squads? Hanging doesn't seem quite fitting enough.....

Of course, he'll opt for the third choice...blame Bush...
Hope he goes for the cover up and gets caught...'cuz that's treason...plain and simple.
First we hear the perp is dead then we hear oh no, he isn't dead. Then we hear he cleaned out his apartment. What is REALLY going on? Is this murderer part of a larger cell? What is ZERO's connection to this murderer? We know he served on ZERO's transition team. Lots of questions and very few answers.
My BS alarm started going off last evening as I watched the coverage on Fox.
Depending on the reports you read, it was days, weeks and end of month. Missed the two month that you must have read or heard.
Lots of misinformation. He was dead, till he was alive again.
Regardless, I’ve known several that have gotten rid of their belongings when they were being deployed overseas. Not sure when or even if they were coming back.
Some got rid of everything, some put in storage or just kept a few things in storage or sent to family for later pickup.
So Hasan getting rid of his stuff before being deployed would not be out of the ordinary. Bet many others getting ready to leave did exactly the same thing or were/are in the process.
Now its time to hear about the HERO’s that day including the one that put bullets into him. And not just a fly over report.

I dont see this as an attempt to blame the police. It is possible in the confusion that some were hit with friendly fire. It does happen.
43 people were shot by one man with two hand guns. Per the story at least one victim was shot twice. There were probably others shot more than once, but, that is just speculation.
We do know that 43 humans were shot with atleast 44 hits. How does one man do this with two handguns in a room with so much combat experience? Element of surprise? Maybe. He had help, friendly fire....Maybe, maybe.
We will know soon enough.
My point is that the ususal blame someone else mentality of the media is already starting.
1) He’s a shrink...but can’t deal with life in the military.
2) He didn’t shot ALL of the victims.
I don’t think the media should even be allowed to get by with even one story like this.
They are trying to mitigate the huge implications of this on American Soil.
And first we hear that he's a convert, then this article mentions:
"An imam from a mosque Hasan regularly attended said Hasan, a lifelong Muslim, was a committed soldier, gave no sign of extremist beliefs and regularly wore his uniform at prayers."
"FBI agents who searched Hasan's apartment early Friday seized his computer, a law enforcement official said. It was not immediately known if they found anything suspicious on his computer files."
Anyone know what the story is about the other 2 reported shooters??

Thank goodness. My bad for not finding it. This has been a rough event that has a lot of us just stunned..
Computer forensics takes some time. First, you have to document every thing at the location. Note all the external set-ups & possible physical evidence, sticky notes, physical names that may be on storage medium, anything else you find in the area of the computer that may be evidence for the case. Also, because storage medium is so small, you have to be careful not to over look things like USB drives in watches, pens, swiss army knives, and so on.
Then you have to make an exact bit for bit copy of the storage medium on a forensically clean hard drive and verify that it is an exact duplicate using an MD5 hash or something similar.
Finally, the copy has to be examined by someone trained in computer forensics who knows how to find stuff on the drives like deleted or hidden files & so on.
And, you have to have a warrant where probable cause is listed before you can seize evidence, as well as what you want to seize & what you are looking for (though, this case would probable fall into an exception as far as seizing the equipment.) Still need to have the warrant before the actual computer files can be searched.
I imagine in this case, the procedure will be expedited, there still is a procedure that has to be followed to prevent having evidence tossed.

Yep. Three gunmen, one dead, two in custody, etc. Typical laimstream media reporting. Reminiscent of the Coast Guard "shooting" that happened up on the Potomac River earlier this year.

I would think it would be unusual for an officer to do that. When we were building cellular in Alexandria, LA, we used a local warehouse/moving company to store our consumable materials until they were needed on the job sites. The rest of this warehouse was filled with plywood boxes, roughly 8'x8'x12' that belonged to Air Force personnel, presumably attached to the Air Force base that was nearby. Most bore markings of being shipped to various locations overseas.

It struck me as odd because he wasn't supposed to ship out until the end of the year, yet his neighbors said he was giving away food from his frig yesterday morning and the day before. Looks to me like he knew he likely wasn't coming home yesterday evening.

Here, here! Apparently, it was a civilian police officer (female) that was the first responder and she is the one that put four rounds into this vermin. I thought that was fairly odd, too. I wasn't aware that local police department's jurisdiction extended onto military bases. I was under the impression that the Army had their own police force, aka "MP's".
I’d heard yesterday that he mentioned to a neighbor that he was cleaning out his apartment in anticipation of his deployment.
I believe everyone, except the police officer, was unarmed. The scariest thing about the aftermath of this is that every terrorist cell in the country now knows that most folks on a military base walk around unarmed.
Kind of like the MSM coverage of the aftermath of Katrina in New Orleans. Half of what was reported was garbage, but there are still people today who believe it, because they heard it on the news.
