I am ex Army and inter service rivalry is a good for amusement , but nothing , nothing is funny today . This should never been allowed to happen . Somebody a heck of a lot higher up than those GIs being processed is at fault and is going to be relieved . Sounds likes a hand slap . So many fine lives taken . The fault lies pretty high up IMHO . I have asked Navy brothers how the USS Cole could have been attacked and they suspect decisions made far away from the ship led to those events . 17 sailors and still people refused to accept that we were at war .

“But you must remember, my fellow-citizens, that eternal vigilance by the people is the price of liberty, and that you must pay the price if you wish to secure the blessing. It behooves you, therefore, to be watchful in your States as well as in the Federal Government.” — Andrew Jackson, Farewell Address, March 4, 1837

I am ex Army and inter service rivalry is a good for amusement I am not amused, nor tending that way.
The biggest challenge today, is that the citizens are not plowing their own fields. When you have no investment in the soil of your land, their is no value to your life or your heritage. When the government tells you when and how much to crap, there is no value left either!
