I could just see that if it happened on W’s watch, W’s speech would have been given with a heavy heart and a knot in his stomach....with many pauses to regain his composure.

On W's watch we saw video of the moment he was told about the 9/11 attack.

Obama had over 3 hours to digest the Ft Hood attack news before coming to this pre-arranged event. The media was alerted by the White House that Obama was going to make a statement about the shooting.

He walks out and instead of first acknowledging the dead and wounded, he thanks his staff and cabinet, gives a 'shout out', incorrectly identifying a Medal of Freedom recipient as a Medal of Honor winner.

Ok so he was already scheduled to step in front of those folks at the meeting and do his little song and dance thanking them. So why didn’t he do the statement about the murders at Fort Hood somewhere else entirely? It’s not like there aren’t other cameras and microphones and teleprompters in other locations in DC. He could have done the statement - ended - then walked into the meeting with no cameras and done his butt kissing there in his happy “shout out” tone. Idiot
