To: Colonel Kangaroo

The president is THE Commander in Chief of the US military. That responsibility means he must show leadership - particularly in an instance such as this.

Of course Hasan is the villain- but would you have known that from listening to the president yesterday?

The longer we tolerate mushy thinking in our culture- the longer we can expect cowardly leadership.

The FACT is the president- as you put it- mishandled the situation. I don’t “perceive” it- I know it.

For anybody who’s interested, Obama will be ‘making a few remarks’ shortly...

I intend to abuse my ‘mute’ button — someone with a stronger stomach than I will have to report on it....

(I’ve been using ‘mute’ a lot this morning - just not in the mood for ‘fair & balanced’....)
