His tone is because he doesn’t give a damn-he was glad to have the distraction-he’s a stinking pos!
I saw that. He was actually smirking/smiling at the time. He was like a local news talking head. Happy face for happy story and sad face for sad story.
I also don’t understand why everyone thinks he is such a great speaker. I don’t have TV so I hardly ever hear him. When I do, he sounds like a total poser. His “thoughtful pauses” don’t sound thoughtful to me. They sound like he is confused and can’t find words.
