Col. Lee also says that he personally talked to Hasan and that Hasan said that the Iranians have a right and should stand up against “the agressors”. Why nothing was done about this is unbelievable.

The authorities may have been cautious fearing Hasan was trying to provoke them into actions for which he could sue them or at least bring down bad publicity on the Army. With Eric Holder as attorney general anything could happen.
