It was said earlier that ALL military officers are required to have access to SECRET information whether or not there is a need to know the information. Very well said. Having a clearance and actually having access to classified defense information are two different things.
PhiKapMom is also making good points on this...once you are given access, you sign a non-disclosure agreement that carries all kinds of nasty penalties.
