Also, he was 39 and didn’t get a BS from VT until 1997? He should have graduated from High School in 1988, what was he doing for for 5 or 6 years? Working at his Mom and Dad’s restaurant? It sounds like he got his commission from ROTC at Tech and that only take 4 years and the Army was not taking everyone in 1997. Something is missing,the timing is off. He was an officer, so he should at least got a secret clerance, too.

The reason that Dar Al Hijrah mosque in Virginia, connected to this Fort Hood shooter (at least mother), sounds "familiar" is that avcleric there (Somali) had been accused of "ministering" to TWO OF THE 9-11 HIJACKERS.
