Okay, before I jump on the “evil Muslim” bandwagon, 6 years is along time to spend as a psychiatrist at Walter Reed, dealing with a steady stream of young servicemembers coming back with some awful psychiatric problems, including many where psychiatric problems are a related to massive brain injuries.
This guy may have been psychologically traumatized himself. And the timing of the transfer seems odd, maybe as if it was in response to signs that he was buckling under the stress of his Walter Reed duties, so he was sent to a location that was basically the opposite with a bunch of servicepeoplw who have little or nothing wrong with them being “processed” before be shipped overseas.
If he’d been a murderous jihadist all along, just waiting for a good opportunity to blast off for Paradise in a blaze of homicidal glory, Walter Reed would have been a much higher profile place to do it, due to its constant media attention and constant parade of elected national-level politicians. He could easily have taken out a Congressperson or Senator there.
Where are you getting your “6 years at Walter Reed” info?
Per link in #65 he first completed his training in 2007. Maybe some of the training was at WR.
I don't buy it. These days Congress is mostly friendly to these guys. Why do that?
No wonder you are a Gubmint Shrink.
Oh, please. So that excuses his behavior? If the Army had restrained him or rejected him at any point, there would have been a huge stink from CAIR.
Your comment dishonors all the millions of Americans who have had multiple deployments, who work with the brain-injured in many capacities, or who have served at Walter Reed throughout the two wars.
Curious post, your #84.
Nice try , at either attempting to understand, or spinning, whatever it is you were doing.
The whole point about Hasan is what he did, and who he shot and killed.
“Traumatized”, by having to process so many returning combat soldiers??? I think not. I think that may have been the one thing that kept him going, seeing the rough justice, as he sees it, extracted onto the enemy, America, through her damaged servicemen.
NO, he blew just as he was about to be deployed, presumably out of his strong conviction that Muslims shouldn’t be killing Muslims. (Hey, Hasan, Muslims have been killing Muslims for a long, long time-—it’s just how you people are).
Oh give me a break! My days of any Pc’ness are long gone. I delight in being non PC.
